Vitae Holiday Window Display 2012

Here is our finished window display! It is dedicated to Furry Friends Refuge, a local no-kill animal shelter that does great things in the community.  If you bring in a donation item before Christmas you get a discount at Vitae!

So much went into this display. It was designed by a friend, Amber Hathaway. She built the faux fireplace and made a fake log that appears to be burning. The tree is filled with silver painted dog bone ornaments and has a crossbones tree topper.  We also utilized some of the amazing photos from past photoshoots. If your in town you should take a peek... there are a lot of small touches that are hard to see in the photo.

Dog Photo Shoot: Individual Shots

Here are the individual shots. You can get an idea of how each size and style of hoodie will look on your dog. The extra small has a print on the hood and sizes small through 2XL have the print on the back. Each one is slightly different. The hoodies also have a kangaroo pocket and a hole for a leash.

Dog Photo Shoot: Group Shots

Dog Hoodie Photo Shoot

Yesterday was the big day... the first Acanthus Apparel dog photo shoot.  I had been preparing since July for this crazy day.  It was crazy and chaotic but it was also so much fun and all of the dogs and their owners were so great to work with.  I also had an amazing team working with me.  Joelle Blomberg did a great job with the photos and her husband Jake helped, Mayim Yael styled everything perfectly and my lovely model, Meanz Chan, was fantastic with all of the dogs. I can't forget to mention all of the dogs...  Layla, Jack, Bruno, Falcor, Mocha, Jeddy, Kaiser, Penny, Daphne, Cash, Stella, Bug, Bronson, Quest, Gemma, Coco and Tinkerbell were all incredible models!

So here is a little peek into my day yesterday...

I had to be organized so I made a board with the dogs pictures and their sizes.

Everything I needed for the shoot... lots of dog hoodies, matching black leashes, treats and a lint roller.

The end of the shoot. Exhausted.
